This year marks a significant milestone for all of us at Living Planet Distribution as we celebrate our 10th anniversary.
Founded in 2016 by qualified Nutritional Therapists Graham Botfield and Ben Shouler, Living Planet began with a simple but ambitious vision: to create innovative, high-quality food supplements that genuinely contribute to health and wellbeing.
What started with just twelve products, hand-packed orders on a living room table, and a determination to do things differently has grown into a multi-million-pound concept-to-market company with more than 150 products stocked in over 2,000 stores worldwide.
Over the past decade, we have had the privilege of working alongside incredible retailers, distributors, practitioners, suppliers, and customers who have supported our journey and helped shape the company we are today.
From the very beginning, our aim was never to create copycat products or simply follow industry trends. Instead, we set out to raise standards within the natural health industry through innovation, quality, education, and creating products rooted in both scientific research and traditional nutritional wisdom.
That philosophy has led to several exciting milestones over the years. These include the launch of Planet Paleo’s Organic Bone Broth — the first certified organic bone broth available in the EU — as well as Planet Paleo’s MSC-certified Marine Collagen becoming the first supplement brand to receive the MSC Newcomer of the Year Award. More recently, Living Nutrition introduced Symbiotic, a pioneering 120-strain organic whole-food probiotic that has helped establish a new benchmark within the category.
Alongside product innovation, education has remained central to everything we do. Our team continues to deliver seminars, webinars, practitioner training, and educational resources throughout the UK and further afield, helping to support retailers, practitioners, and consumers across the rapidly evolving natural health industry.
Over the last 10 years, Living Planet has grown from a small independent startup into an internationally recognised business, while remaining proudly independent and guided by the same values that inspired its creation.
Reflecting on the journey, co-founder Graham Botfield said:
“The last 10 years has been an interesting journey, packed with memorable moments and a few hard-earned lessons in between. There have been periods of growth and periods of survival, but we have made it to this point without compromising our values and are still independently owned.
Now we look forward to the next phase of our ambitions, which is to integrate more into the community through a range of educational programmes and collaborations. As a heart-led company, we love being part of the natural health space and continue to be inspired every day.”
